Flexible PDF splitting

Split PDF pages exactly the way your document needs

Use visual page groups, ranges or automatic split modes to turn one large PDF into smaller, easier-to-manage files.

Create visual page groups

See every page in the workspace and place split points where one output PDF should end and the next should begin.

Split by ranges or page count

Use custom page ranges, split every single page, or automatically create a new PDF after a fixed number of pages.

Reorder pages before splitting

Drag pages into a better sequence before processing when the source document needs a quick organization pass.

Download individual parts or one ZIP

Preview generated parts, download a specific PDF when you need only one section, or download all split files together as a ZIP.

How to split a PDF online for free

Upload one PDF, choose how the pages should be separated and download the resulting files.

01

Upload your PDF

Choose a PDF of up to 200 MB and 2,000 pages. PDFPA loads the pages into the visual split workspace.

02

Choose the split method

Add visual split points, enter page groups, extract selected pages, split every N pages or separate every page into its own PDF.

03

Preview and download

Process the document, preview individual parts and download the files separately or together when multiple PDFs are created.

Temporary processing with automatic file cleanup

PDFPA stores uploaded and generated files temporarily only to complete your split job. Normal completed results remain available for up to 10 minutes and are then removed automatically.

Short result window

Split files are temporary processing results rather than documents saved permanently to a public file library.

Delete when you are finished

Use Delete result on the completion screen if you want to request removal immediately instead of waiting for automatic cleanup.

Split PDF online

Separate large PDF files into useful page groups

PDFPA Split PDF gives you several ways to divide one document into smaller PDFs without installing desktop software. It works well for reports, scanned documents, study materials, invoices, forms and any PDF where only certain sections should be shared or saved separately.

Choose precise PDF page ranges instead of splitting blindly

Different documents need different split rules. A long report may need one PDF for each chapter, while a scanned batch may need every page saved separately. PDFPA lets you create visual page groups, enter page ranges, split after a fixed number of pages or turn every page into an individual PDF. You can also use the selected-page mode when you need a specific set of pages collected into one result.

The visual workspace helps you confirm page order before processing. Pages can be rearranged when necessary, and the group preview makes it easier to understand how many output files will be created. This is especially useful when page boundaries do not follow a simple repeating pattern.

Download only the PDF parts you need

After processing, individual split parts can be previewed and downloaded separately. When several files are generated, PDFPA can also provide them together as a ZIP so you do not have to save every part one at a time. The source PDF on your device is not modified; the tool creates new output files from the split plan you selected.

Split PDF currently requires no account or subscription and has no daily split quota. Each individual job still follows practical safety limits of one PDF, up to 200 MB and up to 2,000 pages, along with normal anti-abuse protections. Completed files are temporary and normally remain available for up to 10 minutes before automatic cleanup.
