Place new text plus PNG, JPG or WebP images on a page, then move and resize them.
Use highlights, rectangles, circles, lines and freehand drawing for notes, markup and visual emphasis.
Use whiteout-style cover blocks when you need to visually hide content in a working copy. This is not secure redaction.

Your file is processed temporarily to create the requested result. Normal completed results remain available for up to 10 minutes and are then removed automatically.
Uploaded and generated files are temporary processing files rather than documents stored in a permanent public library.
Use Delete result on the completion screen if you want to request removal before automatic cleanup.
A PDF preserves page appearance, so quick changes are harder than in a word processor. PDFPA provides an online PDF editor for common corrections and annotations without desktop software or a public account.
Text-based PDFs can contain selectable text objects. PDFPA detects those blocks so you can replace wording and adjust font size, color, alignment and position. This works well for correcting a typo, updating a date or revising a short section without rebuilding the document.
You can also add text boxes and PNG, JPG or WebP images, then move and resize them visually. Highlights, lines, shapes and drawing tools support review and markup workflows.
Complex embedded fonts, fragmented text, scanned pages and highly designed layouts can limit direct editing. A scanned PDF may contain only an image of text, so there may be no editable text object underneath. Whiteout only covers content visually and is not secure redaction.
PDFPA creates a separate edited result and does not overwrite the source file. There is currently no daily editing quota; normal per-job and anti-abuse protections still apply. Completed results are temporary and automatically cleaned up.
