Use a text watermark for draft labels, ownership notices or internal document status, or place a logo/image watermark when branding matters. PDFPA adds the watermark as an overlay while preserving the underlying PDF page content.

Tile the watermark across the page or choose one of nine anchor positions for consistent alignment.
Adjust rotation, transparency and scale so the watermark can be subtle, prominent or presentation-ready.
Apply the watermark everywhere or target page ranges such as 1-5,8,11-13.
Create a watermarked PDF in three simple steps.
Choose one PDF up to 200 MB from your device.
Choose text or image, then set position, angle, opacity, size and target pages.
Preview the processed document and download the watermarked PDF during the temporary result window.
PDFPA creates a separate output copy and never changes the original file on your device.
Uploaded PDFs, watermark images and generated results are automatically removed after the temporary result window.
The tool adds only the watermark you configure. PDFPA does not place its own logo or watermark on the output.
A PDF watermark is useful when you need to identify a document as confidential, draft, sample, approved or owned by a particular person or organization. PDFPA gives you a free online way to add those marks while keeping control over how they appear.
Text watermarks are a practical choice for labels such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, COPY or internal project names. You can control color, opacity, size and rotation so the mark remains visible without making the original content difficult to read.
For multi-page documents, apply one consistent watermark to all pages or select only the pages that require it. This is useful for reports, contracts, proofs and client documents that contain mixed sections.
When a text label is not enough, upload a logo or image and use it as the watermark. PDFPA supports common image formats and lets you position the visual mark precisely on the page.
Because the watermark is added as an overlay rather than by rasterizing every page, selectable text, vector graphics and the existing PDF layout can remain intact.
PDFPA does not require an account or subscription to add a watermark. There is no daily tool allowance to use up, so you can process more documents when your workflow requires it, subject to the per-job file limits and normal abuse protection.
Each normal result remains available only for the temporary download period. Download it when ready, or use the delete option where available to remove the generated result immediately.
