One PDF · Up to 200 MB · Up to 2,000 pages · No daily limit · Unlimited use
Use ready-made presets for quick compression or tune image handling and cleanup settings when you need more control.
Choose lossless, balanced, strong or maximum compression depending on your quality and file-size target.
Adjust image compression, target DPI and quality for image-heavy PDFs that need a larger size reduction.
Compress font streams, remove metadata or convert embedded images to grayscale when those options suit the file.
Linearize the output for progressive loading when the PDF will be served online.
Upload the document, choose the compression level and compare the result.
Choose one PDF up to 200 MB and 2,000 pages.
Use a preset or customize image resolution, image quality and advanced cleanup options.
Review the before-and-after file sizes, then download the optimized result.
Your file is processed temporarily to create the requested result. Normal completed results remain available for up to 10 minutes and are then removed automatically.
Uploaded and generated files are temporary processing files rather than documents stored in a permanent public library.
Use Delete result on the completion screen if you want to request removal before automatic cleanup.
Large PDFs can be inconvenient to email, upload or archive. PDFPA reduces PDF size by optimizing document resources and, when needed, recompressing embedded images while preserving ordinary text and vector graphics as PDF content.
A mostly text-based PDF may already be compact. Image-heavy scans, brochures and presentation exports usually have more room for reduction because embedded images can often be resampled or recompressed. Lossless, balanced, strong and maximum presets give you quick starting points.
Custom settings let you choose image compression, target resolution and quality. This is useful when a document is mainly for screen viewing rather than high-resolution print. Advanced cleanup can also optimize internal resources.
No compressor can guarantee a specific reduction for every file. An already optimized PDF may become only slightly smaller, while a scan with oversized images may shrink much more. Compare the output size and check important graphics before using the result.
There is currently no daily compression quota. Each job supports one PDF up to 200 MB and 2,000 pages, subject to normal anti-abuse protections. The original remains unchanged and completed results are temporary.
