PDFPA looks for supported watermark streams and annotations instead of blindly erasing visible page regions. That approach helps preserve the legitimate text, images and vector artwork underneath.

The tool can recognize common watermark or artifact markers stored separately inside the PDF structure.
Auto Detect can remove supported watermark and stamp annotations that exist separately from normal page artwork.
Process the whole PDF or limit removal to selected pages and ranges.

Preview the result and download the processed copy during the temporary result window.
PDFPA avoids destructive pixel editing when the watermark cannot be separated confidently from real page content.
Supported objects are removed from the PDF structure instead of turning every page into an image.
Uploaded and generated files are removed automatically after the normal temporary processing window.
Watermarks can be stored in several different ways inside a PDF. Some are separate layers or annotations that can be removed safely, while others are permanently merged into scanned images or ordinary artwork. PDFPA focuses on identifiable watermark objects so normal document content is less likely to be damaged.
If a watermark exists as a separate overlay, artifact stream or stamp annotation, the remover can target that object directly. This is especially useful for PDFs that were watermarked using software that keeps the mark separate from the page's real text and graphics.
Watermarks produced by PDFPA's current Add PDF Watermark tool are designed to be identifiable later, making that workflow more reversible than a watermark that has been flattened into a scan.
A visible watermark is not always a separate PDF object. If the mark has been baked into a photograph, scan or the same drawing commands as legitimate content, removing it automatically would mean changing the real page itself.
PDFPA therefore does not promise to remove every visible mark. The safer goal is to remove supported watermark structures while preserving the underlying document whenever possible.
You can use the tool without creating an account or paying for a subscription. There is no daily watermark-removal allowance, while each individual job still follows the file-size limits and normal anti-abuse controls.
Only use watermark removal on documents you own or are authorized to modify. The tool is intended for legitimate document cleanup and workflow management, not for bypassing rights or ownership notices on material you do not control.
